How do I use the features in a LIST VIEW ITEM?

Overview of List View Items #

The List View Items display Goal Level Type items in rows. It has the following features:

  • Collapse and Expand View. This feature allows you to collapse or expand the view of items underneath the item displayed.
  • Item Type. This symbol identifies the abbreviation of the Goal Level Type Item (i.e., Strategic Objective (SO), Strategic Initiative (SI), Objective (O), Key Result (KR), and Task (T)).
  • Item Title. This describes the title of your Goal Level Type Items.
  • Favorite. This allows you to select and mark a favorite item or not.
  • Create a Child Item. This feature allows you to create a Goal Level Type item aligned with a Parent.
  • Direct Edit. This feature allows you to edit the item in List View directly.
  • Priority. This displays the priority level of the Goal Level Type item (i.e., High, Medium, or Low).
  • Members. This is the person leading the Goal Level Typeitem, or Leader. Note: It will also show you who supports this work or the Supporters.
  • Progress. This is the display showing the progress of your Goal Level Type items.
  • Due Date. This feature allows you to sort when an item is due.
  • View Options. This feature allows you to select a different view (Overview, Child View, Edit, or Archive).
  • Status. This indicates the status of your Goal Level Type item (i.e., On TrackAt RiskOff TrackCompleted, or Not Started).
  • View Parent. This feature allows you to see the Parent item of an item if it is the child.

Using List View Items #

The List View Items display Goal Level Type items in rows.

Collapse and Expand View #

This feature allows you to collapse or expand the view of items underneath the item displayed.

  1. Click  to expand the Parent item to see child items.

  1. Click to collapse the view and only see the Parent item.

Note:  The child items have the    symbol adjacent to the expand and collapse sign.

Favorite #

This allows you to select and mark a favorite item or not.

  1. Click  to mark an item as a “favorite.” (Notice themceclip33.png is nowmceclip32.png indicating it is a “favorite.”)

Direct Edit #

This feature allows you to edit the item in List View directly.

  1. Click the List Item you want to edit directly.
  2. Type your revisions.

Note: You can easily access other features in direct edit by doing the following:

  1. Hit the tab to advance to other features (i.e., Priority, Item Owners, Progress, Due Date, View Parent, and View Options) in this List Item.
  2. Click the feature to edit it.
