Go to Strategize (our internal strategy wizard) and click Continue until you arrive at Select Value Discipline (or click Our Focus and then click Value Discipline).
Introduction #
In The Discipline of Market Leaders, Michael Treacy and Fred Wiersema stated that an organization must be intimate with customers, develop leading products, and operate with excellence to be competitive. For an organization to be a market leader, however, it must excel in one of these disciplines. The Value Discipline Model is a strategic tool that helps organizations understand what value they offer to their customers. This model looks at three areas in which an organization may focus its energies: Operational Excellence, Product Leadership, and Customer Intimacy.
